Connell Project

In a leafy street in one of Melbourne’s most affluent suburbs, we find our Connell Residence. With the grandeur of Georgian design elements on the facade, the interior of this home was to be nothing short of opulent.

Formal Lounge

You are introduced to the first formal lounge space from the grand entrance. We used the stunning parquetry timber floor to build a tone-on-tone colour palette, creating a soft, elegant ambience. Linear details were juxtaposed with the flowing curves of the sofa suite, adding interest to the monochromatic scheme.

Sitting Room

Enveloping the sitting room fireplace, we selected a curved, velvet sofa which hugged the round coffee table. Stronger lines were incorporated by introducing the gilded pattern on the feature chairs to echo the elements shown in the Formal Lounge.

Kitchen/Dining

We highlighted the stunning marble in the Kitchen by selecting a cooler colour tone for the dining chairs. Although a simple colour scheme, the space was elevated by the intricate detailing of the timber dining table and the brass accents on the dining chairs.

Bedrooms

With a neutral colour palette used throughout the residence, we wanted to take the opportunity to add some soft colour to the bedrooms. Tones of blue in soft furnishings, decor and lighting created a lovely contrast against the warm timbers and gave the rooms a serene atmosphere.
